All sex offenders in Franklin County are kept on an up-to-date register. These include anyone in Franklin County who is living, working, in prison, or attending school. All people are granted access to this list in Franklin County.

Franklin County Public Records

Vital records are kept on every resident in Franklin County and across the state of Maine. In fact, Franklin County, along with the other Maine counties, is in control of collecting some of these documents and forwarding them to the state government. NOTE - There are a number of rules in Franklin County regarding obtaining records in-person. A requester must visit within opening hours from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. EST. In order to be granted a copy of a record, requesters must also be able to show some form of photo identification. Examples of an acceptable form of photo ID include a driver’s license or state ID. All Franklin County public record requests must also be put into writing.
